A Stylish Start to 2025 – Symphony Harvard in Charcoal, Hempstead

The Brief

The brief was to create a kitchen that would combine the timeless appeal of traditional design with a contemporary edge. The customers wanted a space with character and classic detailing, while incorporating modern appliances, materials and finishes to give the overall scheme a fresh and sophisticated feel.

The choice of the Charcoal Harvard cabinetry provided a strong foundation for the design, with quartz work surfaces, a traditional butler sink and contemporary anthracite radiators carefully selected to create contrast and balance.

The Solution

The finished kitchen beautifully demonstrates how traditional and contemporary elements can work together to create a timeless interior. The Charcoal Harvard cabinetry provides the classic foundation, while sleek Bosch appliances and elegant quartz work surfaces bring a modern sense of refinement.

The butler sink adds a distinctive traditional touch, while the anthracite designer radiators introduce a bolder contemporary element and complement the darker cabinetry.

The result is a kitchen that feels both classic and current, combining characterful details with modern functionality. The finished project was a particularly successful start to 2025 for the team, and the customers were delighted with their new kitchen. The client also left a very positive testimonial, highlighting the quality of the service they received from beginning to end.

We kicked off the new year with a truly stunning kitchen transformation for a lovely family (and their equally lovely dog!) in Hempstead. This project features the Symphony Harvard range in a bold Charcoal finish, a perfect choice for blending classic cabinetry with a modern, moody edge.

To enhance the kitchen’s functionality and aesthetic, we installed a full suite of sleek Bosch appliances, chosen for their performance and contemporary style. The elegant quartz work surfaces add a touch of luxury and durability, making them ideal for both everyday use and entertaining.

A standout feature in this space is the traditional butler sink, which adds timeless charm and pairs beautifully with the darker tones of the cabinetry. To balance warmth and style, we added anthracite designer radiators, a bold, modern touch that ties the whole room together.

From the layout to the finishing details, this kitchen is a brilliant example of how thoughtful design can strike the perfect balance between classic and contemporary. We’re so pleased with how it turned out — and even more delighted that our clients are too.

“So so pleased with our beautiful kitchen and with the service that was provided from beginning to end . Thank you to all at Kitchen Culture as having a new kitchen fitted could be stressful but you made sure everything was perfect!”
